One of the most frequent maintenance problems encountered in the Vegetable Oil and Fatty Acid Plants is that of the Mechanical Seals failure to perform consistently in high temperature services and the consequent inability to hold vacuum. Seal failures in hot oil applications is quite common due to
i) Fluid coking
ii) Fluid oxidation
iii) Vaporization at seal faces
iv) Sticking and seal face hang-ups
v) Poor lubrication, etc.
The seal problems are multiplied in the case of systems operating under vacuum. HT Canned Motor Pumps eliminate these maintenance problems totally. These pumps have no seals, no couplings and run maintenance free for years on end. HT Canned Motor Pumps are more or less, FIT & FORGET PUMPS, which will prove particularly useful in Veg. Oil & Fatty Acid Plants. All the more so, since most of these plants are located in remote areas. Canned Pumps operate successfully at temperatures up to 400°C and are absolutely leak free, zero emission pumps.

Construction Options for Centrifugal Process Pumps :
1. Offered with Closed Impeller.
2. Impellers are provided either with Back Vane/ Wear Ring to minimize Axial Thrust and Gland Leakage.
3. Flange Rating PN 16 and drilled to DIN standard to meet ISO 2858 requirements.
